Set at the eastern edge of the Phoenix metropolitan area, Superstition Mountain Golf & Country Club features two Nicklaus-designed 18-hole courses. The Prospector golf course was designed by Jack Nicklaus and his son, Gary, and opened in 1998. The course sits at the base of the Superstition Mountain and features long vistas, wide fairways and fast greens. The golf course can play over 7,200 yards from the championship tees, and it played host to the LPGA Safeway International between 2004 and 2008. Set in the Superstition Mountain community, the Prospector course has been named a "Top 100 Residential Course" by Golfweek.
