The course has come a long way. It was a tree-lined and beautiful location once upon a time. But weather, budgets and neglect took a major toll on it. Many of the trees are gone, and the fishing pond by the 15th tee box is a sad little mud hole. Still, it is making great progress, so credit where it's due, the fairways and greens are coming along very nicely, and they've even got a chipping practice area where the No. 1 tee box used to be. The range has grass on it (in the tee area, of course), and they even bought some new range balls. So, it's a nice place to play if you don't want to go over and get harassed at PDS for not being a member, or if you don't feel like driving to Tucson.
