love this course. The layout is outstanding and challenging. There are a few rough spots on the front nine but They have hired a company to resod those areas. Once that is completed I would rate it much higher.
The starter Rudy, is very helpful and always friendly.

Its a great golf course now since they've been fixing it up but the Front pro shop Lady Jenny is just awful she knows nothing about customer service she is just rude. She even yelled at me I told the supervisor and she said they would deal with it but she's still working there. I gave her cash to pay for my round along with my husbands and she never gave me a receipt I asked but she said when I get back from playing 9 holes who knows if she pocketed the money or not and I never got my receipt. All in all great course but terrible service.

I have playing the coarse for 2.5 years now and can't believe the change. Yes, it was closed at one time and it took it;s'toll on the coarse. the reviews tell the story but you ought to see it now. there are several months of work left but i would say it is equal to 80% of the coarses in Arizona and when done it will rival them all. i don't care if my name is used in this review because I am proud of what they have done: hold on to your hat.

I played today in a tournament 4/13/13. $30.00 is the normal rate. I live in a town without a course. I would love to live near here. I thought the course was closed. I was pleasantly surprised. The course has had some hard times over the last 4-5 years. You can see where they are making improvements. The fairways, tee boxes, and greens were mowed. There are a few greens that have some bare spots. These didn’t cause any problems. We were allowed to move the ball sideways if we needed to putt through one of these. I moved the ball once about 12 inches. The fairways will need to mature a little. There are many bare spots. However if you move your ball you can hit from grass. I didn’t move my ball at all. I only had 2 bare ground shots and a couple of thin lies. I loved the course. No houses, no cars, no noise…I take that back lots of birds. I saw a few jack rabbits. Fun day. I’ll be back. They have a new superintendent. I wish him the best.

    The course is horrible.

You can see that it was or could be a nice course. My guess is that nothing will be green until the monsoon season hits.

The locals thought the course was in great condition, I would hate to see what bad condition is.

I actually thought the course was still closed! Playing it once--that was enough to check out a Doak course.

I played this Doak course right after it opened and found it to be "more than challenging." I did not mind the condition of the course because it was designed by Doak to be "natural"; but the layout was "something else." The 3 and 4 tiered greens were frustrating leading to 3 and 4 putts. Worth playing when in good condition but good luck scoring anywhere near your handicap!

An absolute GOAT TRACK! DO NOT play this course until they grab enough pride and take care of it. To charge anyone any amount to play this place is a fraud. The greens are not puttable, Tee boxes have very little grass, bunkers have grass growing in them and worse. Its too bad because the layout has much character and fun. The course should be named "Apache S H I Thole". Don't waste your time to travel to this place.
