- Was there with a friend from work. What an place to golf and the view - wow. The people were amazing. One of the best weekends ever. Will be spreading the word to all my Winnipegers to visit this place.Views are amazing, course is challenging but enjoyable, gps system on buggies, staff exceptionally helpful...a must play courseGold Canyon (Dinosaur) is a fantastic course with views that will leave a lsting impression. Always in excellent condition, the course is a real joy & challenge to play. The only drawback to Gold Canyon is its location - about 45 minutes SE of Phoenix. If you have the time + chance to play it, definitely worth the trip.
The only courses I enjoy more than Gold Canyon are WeKoPa + Talking Stick North.
The most amazing views in the phoenix area. Many elevated tee boxes which requires creative club and shot selection. The course is definitely challenging from the tips with fast and firm greens. Errant shouts can find tough rocky land but the rough is manageable. Would have been perfect if practice area was more extensive and if there was a bunker area to get used to the firm and touchy sand.
