Ahwatukee Country Club
12432 S 48th StAhwatukee Country Club is part of the Foothills Golf Group, which also includes the adjacent Lakes at Ahwatukee, an executive golf course that is the annual host of the Arizona short course championship. The lengthier Ahwatukee Course is still gentle enough for beginners to approach with confidence. The terrain is mostly flat and the player-friendly fairways offer plenty of room. The medium-size greens have open fronts, which are inviting to low running pitches and chips. Most of the greens have sand traps strategically positioned on either one or both sides, with 32 bunkers coming into play in total. There are also a few scattered trees and some strategic mounding to watch out for. Lakes come into play on six holes. The par-3 fourth and 14th holes are two particularly intimidating water holes.
