Ken McDonald Golf Course is the design of local architect Jack Snyder. Since opening in 1974, it has ranked consistently as one of the top daily-fee golf courses in Arizona. This course is a favorite among both locals and visitors. The course is mostly flat but whatever it lacks in elevation changes, it makes up for in strategically placed hazards. Accuracy is required to navigate past the mature trees. Water comes into play on a few holes and there are also strategically placed bunkers to contend with. Be prepared for some challenging holes but it's still a player-friendly enough course to appeal to low and high handicappers alike. Ken McDonald Golf Course's practice facility is also very popular. The lighted driving range is open late and there are also two practice greens and a large chipping green.
