Located on the historic 500-acre Otero Ranch just outside of Tucson, the Tubac Golf Resort, which gained worldwide fame as one of the locations for the movie "Tin Cup," features 27 holes designed by Red Lawrence and Ken Kavanaugh. The Otero Course, named for the family that established the ranch in 1789, is Tubac's original nine, routed through cottonwood and mesquite groves. The Anza Nine, named after Juan Bautista De Anza, starts with five of the newest holes on the golf course (designed by Kavanaugh) and ends with what formerly the 10th, 11th and 18th of the original 18. A par-3, reminiscent of the famed 17th island green on the Stadium Course at TPC Sawgrass, is visible from the resort's Stable Restaurant.
