Glen Lakes Municipal Golf Course not only provides a good game of golf but also excellent practice facilities and a learning center that offers free lessons. The course features several lengthy par 3s and par 4s. It is beginner friendly but it also offers plenty of challenge to the experienced golfer. Water comes into play on nine holes and the rolling terrain creates tricky uneven lies. There are also strategically placed bunkers protecting the greens to watch out for. Glen Lakes Municipal Golf Course boasts outstanding practice facilities including a lighted driving range that stays open late and in the summer there are misting systems to keep golfers cool.

Glen Lakes
This is an older course that came under new management over a year ago. The improvements are fantastic! Chip shots are the way they should be due to the grass,(like a carpet) . The fairways are great, and the price, with cart, is unbeatable!
well maintained nine hole
This has become a great value. This par 33 nine hole course has had a facelift and is in great shape. The facility has a driving range, restaurant and is cigar friendly.
Monday's are veterans appreciation days with special pricing.
This is a very nice nine-hole course
Beautiful day. The greens were awesome. The course was groomed very well. Course people were great and courteous. Plus we have veterans working there which is awesome! Go check it out
After the rain
Pace of play was a little slow, but some of the holes are challenging. On the par 4s, the fairways were long and filled with clover. It had rained over the weekend, so I imagine that is why the course was not cut. I also have a GPS system that only worked on the the first two holes. Then it started going wild. It might be because the holes are so close to each other. We had a Hot Deal so the cost was worth it.
This course has wide fairways and flat greens.
My overall experience was a good and it's a nice course but only nine holes. This place was perfect for me, good rates, laid back and good for beginners. The golf cart is an outrages $18 and that rounds out my dislikes. Thanks Glen lakes.
Glen Lakes Review
Played Glen Lakes on 1/18/2015. I was surprised at the condition of the course as compared to last year. Fairways were in much better shape and the course looked better kept all around. The pace was very good and my wife and I enjoyed the walking. Good value for the cost.
Fun Course for Hickory Play
I play old smooth face hickory clubs and pre 1900 replica gutta percha balls. This course is perfect for hickory...elevated greens are great for running style play, and similar in yardage from the tips to what Old Tom Morris played in the 1800's. Course in good shape for a muni and greens are nice. Great winter value for 9 or 18. Excellent for walking as well!
Great Course and friendly people.
By far the best 9 hole course in the State. You are able to use all of your clubs in the bag. Great shape and very challenging. The price to play this course is unbeatable. An added perk is the food. Got to try the hamburgers. Good Job!!!
Great Course to Cure Golf Fix.
I just played this course. The course is in the best shape I have seen in years. The staff has done a great job in improving the fairways and the play of the greens. If you have not played this course in a while you need to get back see for yourself. you will not be disappointed. The club house also is a nice place to sit around and think about what could have been. Food Is GOOD BEER is COLD!
GREAT GOLF FIX FOR LESS THAN AN HOUR AND HALF OF PLAY. And still be home in time for honey do's.
I've always got time for 9....
..especially at this course, now that Thom and his staff have taken it over!!! I have golfed here since 1999, and can honestly say that this course is in the best condition it has been in YEARS!! Keep up the good work Thom, and I'll keep coming back...;)
Steve
good time
We have played this course under the old and new management and the Old Course was really rough tough to get a good read on there was no real green grass but under the new management courses done a 180 it's 10 times what it used to be before this will always be able to play this golf course it's local it's not far away from the house grade 9 holes get in and get out a lot of fun
Conditions
This is the best the green have been in about 6 years
Great 9 hole course
Glen Lakes is a excellent course. It is my favorite play to go to relax and enjoy a round. The course is beautiful and the greens are in perfect shape The pro shop has everything you need and the staff are always friendly. I recommend Glen Lakes to anyone for a great round of golf.
Great Execuitve Course
I have played Glen Lakes for 4 years now and it is in the best condition in a long time. The staff is working to make it the best in the area. I would strongly recommend this course for the beginner and seasoned golfer.
Good beginner course.
Good nine hole executive learning course. Too easy for excellent golfers. Needs more ball washers. Is in much better shape than last winter. Usually not too crowded and priced well.
A fun golf quickie
I had a few hours to play on Thanksgiving morning, so I drove a few miles to Glen Lakes. I had just bought a new driver so I tried it out on the range with a small bucket of balls before teeing off (You hit off of mats, not grass).
The course is definitely NOT one of Phoenix's finest, but it's a quick and fun track at a very reasonable price. There are a couple of longer par threes and some fun par fours.
Glen Lakes is a very good place to work on your short game. The fairways were in fair condition, and the greens were a little slow, but certainly in good condition. You can't expect a 12 on the stimp-meter from an inexpensive municipal course. I'll be back.
Glenlake Golf Cource

And I play everywhere...

Glen Lakes
Greens were pretty slow... needed a shave. The owner was driving around with someone showing him different parts of the course. It seemed like he was close to every tee box talking while we were trying to tee off. I should of held up my "QUIET" sign!!!
