Ritz-Carlton Golf Club at Dove Mountain - Wild Burro/Saguaro

When Jack Nicklaus designed the 27 holes at the Ritz-Carlton Golf Club at Dove Mountain, he made sure to utilize the plentiful saguaros and the rolling hills. Nicklaus was inspired by the High Sonoran Desert landscape, which allowed him to create a unique layout that requires careful strategy. The golf courses feature dramatic elevation changes that range from 2,300 to 3,200 feet. The holes are played in three different 18-hole combinations. The Wild Burro/Saguaro combination winds along the base of the Tortolita Mountain Range with a backdrop of a vast cacti forest to the west. Wild Burro was the Golden Bear's favorites nine of the three. The Saguaro nine serves as the front nine for the Accenture Match Play Championship with the third nine at the club, Tortolita, acting as the back nine.
