Located in north-central Scottsdale, Starfire Country Club features 27 holes of golf. The King nine is the newest of the three nines at Starfire C.C., opened in 1988 and designed by Arnold Palmer. Palmer also redesigned the original Hawk and Squire nines, making them more difficult and scenic, featuring water on 13 holes. The King golf course is the longest of the three nines, playing over 3,200 yards, while the Hawk is the second longest at 2,840 yards. The Hawk nine is one of the original 18 holes and plays along fairways lined by mature eucalyptus, pine and cottonwood trees. Each of the three nine features four sets of tees from which to choose.
